FAQ
-
Tiny Teams is an opportunity to try out a range of games, from already popular indie hits, to hidden gems and what could be the next "big thing". Our game selection is carefully curated, and covers a wide range of genres and styles - we're sure you'll find something you love!
-
Stay tuned for an announcement in the Tiny Teams Discord or across socials.
-
The list of games will be announced closer to the festival. Keys will include a mixture of demos, exclusive previews, Early Access titles, and fully released games. All of them have been hand-picked by our team, as some of the best indie titles Steam has to offer.
-
This year we're simplifying the process. Instead of selecting specific games or genres in the application form, you'll receive keys for all available games.
-
No. Keys are non-transferable, and you are not allowed to gift them to anyone else. There may be some exceptions (such as for multiplayer games), which will be noted as such when you receive them.
-
We aim to send you this information with enough time before the festival for you to plan your content. The keys themselves, however, will not be sent out until shortly before the festival begins.
-
Unfortunately, we may not have enough keys for all the creators who want them. However, some of the games selected for the festival will have public demos available, so we encourage you to check out the festival page on Steam regardless.
-
Tiny Teams is open to creators of all sizes! However, these are some of the things we look for:
your channel has been recently active
your channel is relevant to indie gameplay - not just music or cat videos!
ideally, you use a microphone in your content
ideally, you either create video and/or livestream content, or are an established press outlet
we can verify that the keys are going to the real channel owner / representative
-
The easiest way is for you to have a business email address publicly visible somewhere on your channel, and for you to use the same email to apply for Tiny Teams keys. Alternative verification methods will be available, for those who do not have a public business email.
-
Press kits will be available soon. These will contain assets for Tiny Teams 2025, as well as for selected games.
-
We encourage creators to make their content during the festival itself (7th-14th August). This is to ensure you are using a version of the game that the developers are happy for you to make content about. In addition, some keys - for example exclusive previews - may be revoked at or after the end of the festival. Established press outlets and their representatives may be granted early access to prepare content in advance. However, press will still be embargoed for the start of the festival.
